What is AgroResin^®?

It is a molded fibre composite that is made of networked cellulose fibre or lignocellulosed fibre.

Unlike conventional molded pulp, which is built on a H-bonded network of cellulose fibre, AgroResin^® is designed to overcome performance limitation of conventional molded pulp. The product innovation team at GRENIDEA has developed a simple and effective idea of networking primarily cellulose or lignocellulose fibre through materials engineering. The process takes advantage of an abundant and renewable supply of cellulose and lignocellulose fibre to unveil the potential of the less explored area of agricultural fibre residue processing.

AgroResin^® is the first molded fibre composite packaging material in the world that can be made from any type of plant fibre. The fibre and composite materials selection process takes into account key attributes of raw materials using a lifecycle approach to ensure renewability, commercial viability, cost of logistics and end-life impact on the eco-system.
